Siena’s Palio VIP Hospitality Package
Platinum Adventure invites you to see this medieval horse race in true VIP style, from a balcony which overlooks the Campo Square.
The Palio is a thrilling race between ten horses (barberi), whose jockeys ride bareback and each represent a specific Contrada (historic neighbourhood) of Siena. The race takes place in Campo Square twice a year: once on July 2nd in honour of Our Lady of Provenzano and once on August 16th in honour of Our Lady of Assumption.
Platinum Adventure invites you to see the race in true VIP style. You will be hosted in Madama’s lovely private apartment, located in a beautiful historic palazzo which overlooks the Campo Square. The apartment’s balcony, with its privileged vantage point, offers the best possible view of all the action.
Furthermore we build packages for all the visitors wishing to experience this festivity in depth and watch as the awarded captain of the winning Contrada hands the prize over to his elated supporters (contradaioli), who will celebrate victory in a festive bacchanal which lasts for several days and nights.
